Google Doodle celebrates the 30th anniversary

The interactive Google Doodle celebrates the 30th anniversary of the famous maze-hunting video game, Pac-Man. Initially intended to be a one-time easter egg, the company was encouraged by the positive feedback to create more interactive logos in the future. The new Doodle is currently playable, though it will transition to an archive page after this weekend. Alternatively, you can click on the game logo on the home page to play it. The original arcade game was not fully planned, and the developers were happy to surprise fans by making an alternative version. Known as Pac-Mania, the new version of the game has an interesting layout and a HUD to help players progress. However, the game’s mazes are designed for 16:9 screens, which made it impossible for most players to play it properly on the original size.
